Kennel Free Facility
Daycare can be stressful for your dog, and the last thing we want to is to add to that stress. We want your dog to associate daycare with a good time. To help alleviate that stress we work on a no-kennel policy.
The dogs are given free rein in the daycare/grooming facility. They can go where they want, play with whatever toys they are interested in, and when they are tired, we have nice cozy bed cubbies for them to snuggle up in.
Our goal is to make your experience as stress-free as possible. You can rest assured knowing that your dog is happily playing with other dogs, chewing on toys, or napping in their own little corner.
Enrichment Activities
You can rest easy knowing that once your dog is with the Doggie Do’s team, we will be doting over them as long as they are with us. We want your dog to feel comfortable in our space so we have created the daycare area with your dog’s health and enrichment in mind. You can find a variety of enrichment toys throughout our daycare locations.
It is our goal to keep your dog excited, engaged with us, and make them feel as comfortable as possible. Maybe it’s because we are a little selfish, but we work hard to keep your dog happy because we want to see them again.
Dogs are our life, if you can’t tell!
Do I Need Doggy Daycare?
You might be wondering, “Do I even need daycare for my dog? Can’t I just leave him at home with some toys and food? What are the benefits?” We find that one of the main reasons dog owners shy away from daycare is that their dogs aren’t very socialized—they don’t get enough interaction with other dogs. At Doggie Do’s we provide a safe, controlled environment for your pup that allows them to have supervised interactions with other dogs. We watch closely in case a situation gets too heated, and we are ready to step in to make sure the dogs aren’t overly stimulated or frightened.
Dog daycare can be an amazing experience for dogs with a friendly temperament. It can offer a lot of great benefits- for both dogs and their owners. It keeps your dog busy so they don’t suffer from boredom, it provides a healthy outlet for pent-up energy, gives them exercise, encourages socialization, and offers them constructive interaction with other people. Busy dog owners enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing their dog is well cared for while they are away at work or play. Dog daycare can certainly provide relief from some of the many stresses that naturally come with dog ownership.
Affordable
We know how important it is for you to provide a safe and loving home for your dogs. With today’s busy work schedules, it can be hard to be there for them as much as you would like. Leaving them home alone all day while you are stuck in the office can be nerve-wracking. The problem is many dog daycares in San Diego are expensive putting a strain on your budget. That’s where Doggie Do’s comes in! We saw a need for affordable daycare options in the San Diego area and decided to do something about it. We wanted to offer a solution for the busy professional who wants the peace of mind that their dog is being cared for, without having to break the bank.
Our daycare services won’t break the bank, so you can go to work knowing your dog is being spoiled, without your pocketbook taking a beating. Our affordable prices are matched with quality service and care. We will look after your dog as if it were our own. They will have a nice cubby where they can retreat for rest, other dogs to play with and make new friends, and enrichment activities to keep them happy, healthy, and loving every minute. Your dog will look forward to his visits at Doggie Do’s, and so will you.

Helps With Separation Anxiety
If you have a dog that suffers from separation anxiety, then you know that it’s hard on both of you. Without some kind of outlet and social environment, your dog can feel very anxious about being left alone. They may spend their day crying, howling, licking, chewing, or just stressed out and anxious. It’s hard to watch and know that your pup is suffering. We can’t abandon our daily routines to stay home and play, though sometimes we wish we could. We have to balance our lives while still caring for our dogs and dog daycare can allow you to do that.
Even if you aren’t using daily daycare services for dogs, weekly social interaction, especially in group settings, can help provide your dog with the activity and structure that they are craving. While it may not completely cure separation anxiety in all dogs, it is a healthy way to limit alone time.

Doggy Socialization
Dogs are very social animals, and although many dogs adapt well to our routines, some dogs aren’t as excited about spending the day alone while you go to work. There are many ways to keep your dog entertained when they are alone, like puzzle toys or natural chews, but even these can only occupy your dog for so long. Eventually, they will finish with whatever distraction that you leave them, and they will be looking for the next activity. From daycare and boarding to dog training for dog parks, there are many ways to socialize your four-legged friend. Any extroverted person can vouch for the fact that spending that much time alone can be frustrating, depressing, and can lead to unhealthy habits. Doggy daycare socialization can successfully combat this.
The average person works an 8-hour workday. Once you factor in your commute, errands, and social activities, your dog could be spending 10+ hours alone every day. Besides the obvious need for bathroom breaks, 10 hours alone can get pretty boring. It’s easy to understand why your dog acts out.
While it’s true that some dogs will sleep all day if they are left alone, this type of sedentary lifestyle isn’t healthy long-term. The lack of mental and physical activity can lead to weight issues, mobility issues, and destructive boredom behaviors. To prevent this, you need to find ways to provide activities for your dog on a regular basis, even when you are away. Daycare for dogs is a great option to keep your pet busy and prevent undesired behaviors resulting from boredom or loneliness, plus they get to play all day – what’s not to love?
Not For Everyone
Not all dogs are good candidates for the doggy daycare scene. Some dogs simply don’t enjoy interacting with others. They may be too timid, fearful, or consistently exhibit behaviors that are not compatible with responsible off-leash group play. This does not, by any means, mean that they are “bad” dogs. It simply means daycare is not a good idea for them.
At Doggie Do’s we carefully monitor new dogs as they interact with the pack for the first time. Our top priority is the safety, health, comfort, and fun of all dogs entrusted to our care. As a kennel-free facility, the safety of our team and of your dog is our top priority. We cannot care properly for dogs that show aggressive behavior and we will not risk the safety of our furry guests and staff. If your dog shows signs of aggression towards other dogs, then Doggie Do’s is not the right facility for them. This does not mean that your dog is “bad”, just that we are not equipped to handle aggressive behavior in our daycare space.
